Keeping chickens/ducks/geese together?

While my ducks and chickens run together, we have separate houses for them at night, so no mess issues. Sometimes if it's really cold, the ducks will try and take over the chicken coop at night, but as soon as we go in to lock them up, they go to their own house with the chickens following them and giving them heck!

You can certainly keep them together, but like everyone else is saying - ducks are very very messy! I'd keep the ducks and geese together and have another place for the chickens. I thought everyone was exaggerating when they said that ducks were really wet, messy and icky... and they weren't lying at ALL! Even with them by themselves, we're changing their coop every 3 days. I'd hate to think of the chickens in there with them
