khaki Campbell crossed with Runner

I know this is a site about chickens but I can't find any answers, so I thought my fellow Chicken Lovers might.
I have three female Indian Runners and was looking to get a khaki Campbell Drake, my question is is can they cross breed and will the babies be egg layers?

You can post on the "Duck thread," for better info but, I do think you can cross the breeds of duck. I assume females would become egg layers. I believe tufted ducks should not be bred together due to skulls not hardening over.
