Khaki Campbell nest

Our KC is laying her 1st round of eggs. However, she's laying them right outside our quail pen (high traffic area). We are hoping she continues to lay and sit. But I'm afraid that once she starts sitting, we will disturb her while we tend to the quail. I don't want her to abandon the eggs. Do we take the risk of leaving her or take the risk of moving her and the eggs?

better to move her and her nest now. you said she'll get disturbed there when you tend the quail. Its better for her nest to be in more of a hidden, secret type place. If you have a big dog crate you can set her in there with her nest. then you also have the option of locking her in at some point and just letting her out to swim eat and drink
