Mali solemly began to tell her pups how it was their time to fend for themselves. Although it hurt her deeply. she had to do it. She gently plucked four feathers from her wings. She placed them on her pups back. "These will help you on your journey." And wings began to grow on her pups backs. They all looked at each other, astonished. "Now, you will choose sides. Lakia, or Vlad."
And almost instantly, they all flew in the direction of the others. Tears formed in Mali's satin blue eyes. Mali's pups all turned around and came to her. "We won't leave you, Mali." Leader said. "We are staying with the others. We'll always be together, with Kovi, Galentei, Daku, Vascala, and everyone else. We are coming with you." Hunter added.
Mali felt tears of joy.
"No, Mali, we won't be as needy as we were, but we will stand by your side and fight."
"Thank you. Now, go to the others, and I will be there soon."

Noss smirked at the argument. Only she knew what was running through her head. Her plans were going as she had planned.
 
Once Jack was in his room, he flopped down on the bed and squeezed his eyes shut, as though trying to block out painful memories. His stomach twisted into knots, giving him awful cramps and only worsening his headache. Sweat formed on his skin, dampening his fur and making it stick to her body. Hot and wet. After an hour of this he rolled out of bed, pressing his head to the cold stone floor in an attempt to calm his pounding head.
