I'm new to chooks, so despite all my google research I just can't tell, so hoping someone here has a keener eye.
Located Melbourne, Australia! (Have heard these can differ depending on location)
3 month old lavender araucanas. Got them as day olds, both looked pretty much identical to me until one started crowing.
First time I heard it was late one afternoon and thought it was a kid with one of those rubber chickens.
Didn't hear anything again for a week. I work at night so I probably missed any morning crows that might have happened, but unfortunately heard it this morning.
The two have been 'fighting' occasionally in what I assume is a dominance/pecking order kinda way (running at eachother, pecking, ruffled hackles).
Next thing someone's gonna tell is that they're both roosters 🥲

Both look like cockerels.
