Laying reduced since chicks have hatched.

Hi all, since one of my hens hatched six chicks, egg production from the rest of the hens had dropped. Is this normal?
The flock has 3 barred rock, 2 emerald, three old warrens and a rooster. One of the emeralds went broody and the other one has stopped laying. We're more down to for eggs per day.
Mother and babies are in a separate side coop and run but address visible to the other hens.

Is it hot where you are? Birds tend to molt or take lay breaks in the summer.

Yes it has been very hot the last few weeks.
