Hello I’m new to raising baby chicks and chickens and don’t know how to tell them apart yet, was wondering if anyone could tell me if these are hens. Or is it too early to tell? They are both the same age.

it’s still early but the one on the left looks like a cockerel because of the comb. maybe get pictures in better light and we can tell for sure.

None of them are roosters or hens. A chicken is only a rooster or a hen when they are one year old. A pullet is a female under a year and a cockerel is a male under a year. Currently, it is a bit too early to tell, but the one on the left appears to be a cockerel. Can you get pictures away from the red light?
