Just got my first Brahmas a few months ago, two Lights and one Buff Bantam. The Lights are lovely birds, quite sweet, and I suspect they will both turn out to be hens!

He's gorgeous! How big is he? I know some of the Brahmas get really chunky, 'specially the males.
He is under a year, we took in him and 9 laying pullets from a less-than-ideal situation but they're all doing great and he is right at home here! It takes them around two years to reach full size, and he is almost up to my knees already! Thinking he'll be a big boy, but that's fine with me as long as his temperament doesn't change!

Very cool! My buff banty Brahma cockeral is a bit of a snooty guy, was curious if other roos have nice temperaments!

Anywho purchased day old chicks (pullets) and they were mailed to me. They are now about 5 weeks old and 1 appears to be a cockerel which I’m not against considering I lost the other 2 however “he” looks so much darker than the rest. Of course 3 feathered quite quickly then there is “him” lol posting pics best I could get of “his” current flat reddish comb and a girl I call Bertha plus a pic of the color difference. Is this normal for a boy to be so dark?
