little 18 day old gosling pooped bright green?

hi, this mornng while i had him wrapped up i heard him go poo so i got up to clean the blanket, what i noticed waa although it was a healtht brown and whute capped poo, it was covered by a bright green kinda booger -lookng liquid? i stopped giving him lettuce around 4 days ago becase he almost choked, could that be it? is it normal?

Could be something he ate or a change in is usual diet. It may simply be nothing to worry about just yet as changes in poops can be normal when they happen now and then.

However, if you continue to see this in almost every poop this may be a cause for concern. Report back for more info if it persists throughout the day. But if you don't see any more today then I wouldn't worry just yet.

@rebecca they also need grit if they are going to eat anything other than their chick feed, they have no way to grind up lettuce and other things. So chick grit is a must.
