Looking to get a marans/barnevelder/welsumers - someone who will lay some beautiful dark brown eggs to add to my collection and an EE who definitley lays blue. I have all the other colors.. Yes, egg color is a novelty to me, I will admit it
Health and age are important... of course! I have someone I like to get hens from but she doesn't have any dark brown laying breeds. Laying already please, I don't want to get chicks because I don't want to get a heat lamp/food/waterer etc for just a chick or two.
