I have been reading like crazy and getting hints and such but the main question I have is,,What species of quail do you recommend for southeast side of Washington state. cold winters and hot summers. I am learning the different looks slowly but am working on it. Btw, about how many different kind of quail are there?

I have bobwhites that we rescued from a hunting club (bred and raised for the sole purpose to be shot and killed). They have done really well and they are frequent layers (at least 1 a day). Just hatched the first of their eggs and so far everything is working great.

cool, can you mix. Probably not huh? spose a pen for each kind would be better anyway?

don't mix bobwhites with coturnix, bobs can be very aggressive bird.
