Hi,
First chickens were new to me in August 2017, but born in April. So we’ve learned a lot.....still learning every day! There are 4 right now but hoping to have 4 more once the Spring (after the ‘Mud season’ here in Maine) arrrives along with a new larger coop. The ladies have endured a spell of temps of 20-30 below zero much better than I! I was so worried about them. Thanks to all the postings on BYC I have been educated and comforted through this experience. Once the new coop is here I will feel much better about their comfort, and my capability to provide for them more easily.
I am retired and can enjoy watching and caring for my ‘chooks’ throughout the day.
I appreciate this valuable resource and all who contribute. Just browsing topics and responses is fun.
