Hi! Sorry if I posted wrong, new to actually using this site, but have browsed it for info before.

I originally attempted to hatch some chickens but they died after I put them in lockdown. Luckily I was able to buy some from my boss and got four 1 week old chicks. Two cinnamon Queens two golden comets. I got them Saturday, so they are either a week and a half or two weeks I'm not sure.

The two cinnamons are definitely female, and I believe one of the golden comets is female, but the other looks somewhat different and from what I read online that one could be a male.

He's lighter in color, and also a bit more plain (stripes aren't really apparent.)
Here are some pictures to help, his name is Pip-Squeak and his sister is Bourbon. Does Pip seem like a male or female? Thank you!

The golden comets are a sex linked breed. Cockerels Will be a very pale yellow, with pullets being more of a buff like in your picture there.

Anytime you get a hybrid like that, there are 99% going to all be the sex as advertised (or vice versa if you get a trainee working at the hatchery 😮)

To answer your question more specifically, the difference in the two is going to be very apparent. You wouldn't have any buff in there at all on a cock.

Ok, thank you for the help! I appreciate it :)

I knew they were sexlinked, but there's not many good pictures online to show the difference, and going off of a description wasnt the most helpful for me.

Also side note, the farm I work at isn't really a hatchery, they get their chicks from a couple different sources: donations, hatching, and buying. We had a festival for children to come and learn about farm animals, and the baby chicks were put into brooders where kids can hold or pet them (under rules and supervision.) The chicks weren't sorted by breed or sex or anything.
So like sex and or breed wasn't exactly advertised to me, all I did was ask for friendly breeds they would recommend, and so I was brought some to choose from, I picked these 4 because they seem the friendliest already.
