Apologies if this is duplicated elsewhere - I've tried to find a thread and couldn't pin down the answer I wanted.
I want to get hatching eggs for some copper black Marans (I'm in the UK). Almost everywhere I've looked lists their eggs as being "copper black/blue". I want only copper blacks..... I've read a fair bit about the genetics and have a basic grasp of all the genes I think.
My question is - if I hatch the eggs and only breed from the black coloured chicks, can I be sure that there's no chance of a blue throwback?
