March 2022 Hatch-A-Long

Pics
I thought maybe you'd like to see some pictures of my first March hatch. Those little rascals grow up way to fast.

Of the options I have which is better for chick shoes?

Blue painter's tape
Bandaids
"Scotch" tape

(I presume that duct tape is an awful idea being too difficult to get back off).
I would use the paper tape made for people who have allergies to adhesives. You can find this in most pharmacies, Alternately vet wrap is a good option, also known as Coban.
Looks like my little “slowpoke” is going to need shoes as well.😊

I don't have any of those things available. I went with the painter's tape since it seemed like the easiest to work with and to have enough stiffness to not need a cardboard liner.

Thank you. That's one of the reference I used to figure this out.

Here are some photos:

You can see that her leg and foot were wonky from the moment of hatching.

In this photo she's got the hobble on (it came off at some point during the day so I don't know how long she had it before I replaced it). The foot is turned sideways and sort of folded up.

I tried to place the toes in the most natural position possible, using her other foot as a reference.

With shoe and hobble. I had to cut another little strip of painter's tape to secure the lose edge after I trimmed it away from her ankle.
