Good luck with the store eggs Poodlemum. Most of my set was refrigerated and washed. But they were from my flock. So they didn't go through commercial sorting, washing, packaging, shipping, aaaand refrigeration.

All 20 eggs are developing. Tomorrow the will go into lockdown.

DAY 9 and now down to 13, pulled 4 early quitters.

6 out of 7 that made it to the end hatched and are doing well. One got crushed.

Yay! All 11 of my eggs are good and Moving. Except for one who has a TINY embryo, and it has the best movement of them all!

Well one of my chicks passed last night... she had a really hard hatch and didn't seem to be growing like the others. She slept way more than the others and did nothing but chirped all day and night.... I was really hopeful because she seemed like she night make it, but she was the tiniest and leats active... also my favorite and the darkest one in color. Now I just have to convince the kids this kind of thing just happens sometimes. She took a really long time to hatch and didn't start moving around for over 24 hrs after she hatched. The only thing that seemed to help was molasses water and then she was up and peeping within an hr... I guess she just wasn't strong ebough.

One of four started pipping, going to see how it goes over the next 24/48 hours! I still think two stopped growing early on but fingers crossed for this one and their sibling.
