Michigan Right to Farm Law, what does it mean?

Well a lot has been happening. Yesterday there was an Ag Commission meeting, and the sense right now is that the 2014 GAAMPs will not be proposed in 2013 according to the usual schedule, but instead will not show up until 2014 - and maybe not until late 2014. When asked about this after the meeting, one of the commissioners said something about having to deal with all those attorney general opinions first.

During the September meeting of the Ag Commission I brought up those attorney general issues, and asked that the documents that I brought about them be entered as part of the public record. Not positive, but it could be that this is why the 2014 GAAMPs have been delayed. Guess what I got in the mail today?!?

Well, according to our case, MAEAP Verification basically guarantees you Right to Farm protection. Even our MAEAP verifier said, after signing our verification papers in our kitchen, "You now have Right to Farm protection". And, the Honorable Judge Solka ruled in our favor, primarily due to our MAEAP Verification in all 3 systems, proving our GAAMP compliance. So, congratulations to you and sealing the deal on your Right to Farm protection! Now, hopefully a judge in your case will rule by the rules!

Well our farm has a new name and I am turning out bumper stickers and car magnets accordingly. T-shirts will follow. I can readily assure you that all proceeds will go to defray the cost of our legal fees which pile up mysteriously fast.

HandsOff and Shelby, did I miss the posting of time and date for the Shelby Twp meeting? I'm in Mt Clemens. I'd like to attend and show support for chicken people...and perhaps preview what i'm in for if anyone within my vicinity has a problem with my future chickens.

We just got the letter in the mail today. The Township Zoning Board of Appeals meeting will be Thursday December 12 at 630 pm. We are their first item on the agenda this time.
