Hi All, I've got some blue Ameraucana bantams and black/gold mille fleur D'Uccles, all youngsters yet.
My goal is to cross these and also get a wheaten pattern in there on the roo side, and the bluest eggs from blue mille fleur patterned hens. (I realize that I'll always get a mixed hatch from the final result.)
My roadblock in calculating the crosses comes in on the feathered legs/feet of the D'Uccles, since I want to move toward the Ameraucana standard.
Will feathered legs/feet from an Ameraucana x D'Uccle cross prove that a split for mille fleur exists?
How do I ultimately get rid of the feathered legs/feet and keep the mille fleur pattern?
Thanks for any expertise you can offer!
