I didn't see minis listed on the price list,but did see Shetlands. Are they the same thing? Has anyone contacted Holderreads to see if any more are available.Its hard to believe they are no bigger than a duck. They stated they use the same box to ship two shetlands in as they do to ship two of the other breeds of geese in.

I called them on saturday and was told they were sold out of the mini geese.

I e-mailed them and got a nice e-mail back. They were out this spring but could put me on a list for this fall. Shipping plus box would run around $180 plus the cost of the gesse!So it would run about $350 for a trio! eek!

The Holderreads live just outside of Corvallis. I picked up my day old ducks and geese last spring, you have to arrange in advance but if you are local check it out. There is a place on the website that tells you how to arrange to pick up babies from the farm. Next year I may pick up some ducks, I need more ladies!

It was interesting how they got the mini's. There are several different breeds involved including a wild breed. I guess I'll just have to start a piggy bank!Lol
