Mixing Duck Fedd and Water.....

So, today at church, I was talking to this guy who used to own a duck farm, and he said that if you mix some water into their feed, they'll grow faster....

What do you think about this?
Any opinions would be great!

I make fermented feed for my flock of chickens/ducks and geese. it has feed water and Apple cider vinegar mixed together.
