Mixing Layer Crumbles with All Flock - Would it Hurt My Boys?

Hi. Chicks get chick feed, all of them. When getting adult food I would just give them All Layer. You can mix oyster shell into it. I don't think the roos will eat it. All Flock is okay for everyone. I have never used Grower so I don't have any info on that. If you need protein, freeze dried meal worms (?) is up to 50% protein.

I think that grower is another name /synonym for chick feed . This term in mainly used for broiler feed. Broilers normally get slaughtered before they get to adulthood.

The amount of proteins is often a bit higher than the organic chick feed I buy.

My Drakes all eat layer crumbles or pellets with the mixture of scratch grains and All Flock Raiser. It has never hurt them and they have had them for the past two years. I was afraid it might make them start laying but that never happened. lol

A good rooster can live much longer than 2 years. Some chickens live up to 15 years.

My Drakes are going on three years old and the oldest Mallard in captivity was 23 years old. Birds do live a long time.
