Modern Bantams anyone?

This is the place to show off your Moderns and sell some chicks or hatching eggs. Moderns are a very interesting breed that needs more breeders.

Here are some pictures I took at the ABA Nationals in Columbus last year. Some of the birds are mine some are not.
It is really too late to try and find quality breeding stock but you may be able to.
The hatching eggs and chicks you will buy ( especially from Ideal) will be OK but not of high or even medium quality.
Depending on what variety you are looking for I may know of someone in Oklahoma that may have some stock for sale.

I lost my BR Cock to a sickness yesterday. Poor guy, he couldn't eat, drink or stand. I tried giving him water and medicine with a dropper, but it just gagged him, he couldn't swallow it. So, I finally had to put him out of his misery. He was a tough bird! Lasted longer than I would have believed without food and water.

Happily, I have over a dozen eggs from him and the hens in my incubator, so his legacy will live on.

I had to post a pic of my little Modern game bantam. My daughters have named her RoadRunner since she is the fastest and slimest little chicken in the coop! I just call her mini chicken, she is the sweetest little thing, she loves being held and have her belly scratched! She'll run up to me start clucking till I pick her up and pet her

Aren't they lovely birds...well I am still searching for someone willing to sell a pair or two in Canada. As shipping from the states would kill me...can you believe that it is $100 per chick to get it here...it might be the way I have to go.

We have 5 (2roos,3hens) modern Game Bantams and LOVE them to death!! Great Breed!! Ours are like little dogs and follow us everywhere and come when called. They think they are the BIGGEST thing around!
I will upload pictures in the morning. We have birchen and Red breasted.
Willow (Rooster, non dubbed), Sillow, Filow, Milow (Rooster, dubbed), and Kylow.

For being really popular at shows, this is a hard breed to find breeders, eggs, chicks, birds, any thing for sale. They are truly an AMAING breed!!
They think they are larger than life, and try to challange the Malays through the pen. haha its too cute!

I'm so glad someone started a thread for the Moderns! SO we can share the wealth!!

Cant wait to see everyones Moderns!!

It will be great to have somewhere to see eggs and such avaliable for these great little guys!
