Moldy Bread?

Can I feed my chickens some moldy white bread?

Moldy feed can kill chickens. Stale's ok, though.

Basic rule of thumb is "would I eat it"?

Of course there are exceptions, worms, grubs, etc. I wouldn't eat those.

....Its pretty simple. Everything i use is either moldy or uneatable for humans, so its not like I have to go buy new bread for them (I just use moldy bread) The chickens love it!

I've fed my chickens moldy bread a lot and it hasn't hurt them. I have different standards for people food vs animal food. I've thrown some pretty nasty things into the compost pile and the girls just dig in like it's a buffet! My flock is very healthy, no illness, lay great, everyone gets along.
