Molting?

I have two Light Brahmas who love attention and I went on a 10 day vacation. During that time, they were fed twice by the neighbors. The day after I came back I realized that they were shedding some of the feathers on their but.
They are 6 months old now, so are they molting?
They're both roo's and very healthy.

I would say no, to me they are to young, I have noticed that chickens are like toddlers, they like routine and they don't like change, they get stressed so quickly and so easily, it could just be as simple as stress, have you ruled out lice/mites? If they are used to you spending time with them, they may just of missed you

I sound selfish, but I think they miss me (or having someone talk to them.)

It's not selfish, they really do get used to company quickly, they love it, I think this is probably that they missed you and felt a bit stressed as there routine was disrupted, I'm sure they will soon get back to normal, maybe give them a bit of extra protein to help the feathers grow back
