Moving a brooding hen

Are you asking about the eggs in a nest? They generally lay on their sides.
Yeah my hen layer in my burn pit and hatched another chickens egg hers are not due for a few more days so I had to move her so the chuck didn't die and read you should angle the egg in the new nest a sertine way ?

When eggs are put in an incubator it matter which end is up if you are using an egg Turner. In a broody nest eggs are generally on their sides. I don't know if it matters in a bowl type nest. Usually they hatch out of the fat end.
