Way late to this thread but I'm learning German on Babble and Duolingo, or at least attempting to. Today I learned that cinnamon roll in German (Zimtschnecke) translates to cinnamon snail, which I find hilarious.

Duo keeps asking me if I want notifications...I keep telling him no, thanks. How's the Irish going? I tried it for fun and the pronunciation seemed worse than Polish.

Dear Polish: why is tea grammatically feminine? And why does that change the other words in a sentence? Tea is an inanimate object.
Sincerely, a Duolingo learner that is tired of getting the word endings wrong.
