My 2 day old chick with 4 week old chicks(picture)

This little Lav Orpington/Lav Silkie mix (had an oops) was hatched on Aug 8, 2012-he was the only one so decided to put him/her in with the month olds I had that hatched July 8th


And now look at him/her!

I was afraid they would kill it but they took great care of him!!

I had a similar experience putting a group of 2 day old Buff Orpingtons in with some 3 week olds. Other than some initial pecking from the Alpha chick, it was a smooth transition, and now the little ones flock up with the bigger chicks like family.

I was worried but.............. actually the initial pecking was by the baby!!! LOL
