My chicken has rocks for brains......

Ok really why dose my barred rock think she can hatch out a pile of river rocks? She's been sitting on them for about three weeks and will not get off the nest! I have kicked her off the nest every day, piled boxex on top of the nest so she cant get to it(she just sits next to the boxes) sprayed her with water, dipped her feet in the pool, put a pile of ice cubes under her butt, nothing is working. what do I do??? It too hot for her to keep sitting on this nest, she's not looking to good.

Put her in a wire cage, like the training cages sold to housebreak dogs. Give her no bedding material at all...nothing, nada. Only food and water. If possible, provide good cool air circulation around the bottom of the cage to cool her bottom.

P.S. I had to read your post after seeing the title. All chickens have rocks for brains! some just rattle more than others.
