My d’uccle boy is getting his color..

He’s starting to look purty. He’s 18 weeks and starting to do a shuffle towards the girls. I guess that’s him showing off?

I have a female that we picked out of the assorted bin at TSC. She is 14 weeks now. She is also getting very pretty. He looks like he's ready to be the boss.

That’s his rooster dance.
He’s trying to woo and impress the girls.
Some roos don’t even do it so be glad he does because it’s better than him just jumping on them.

I also have a silkie roo same age and he tries to just jump them every once in awhile. There’s no shuffling from him. You can see him in the background. The girls are not interested yet.

Another handsome boy!
Sometimes they start the shuffling later and some never do it.
It’s a learning process for them as well as hormones.
The girls are never interested until they reach point of lay (POL) and even then they never seem to be happy about it lol

It's funny to watch when the girls have no interest. The boys are trying so hard to get their attention.

And then there's my little ten week old Serama boys. They shuffle for each other... and my shoes. Whatever makes them happy, and gets them to not pester the girls! Though they get shoved away when they start flirting with my Sketchers.

Beautiful roo. They don't realize girls want to be wooed, movie, dinner, box of chocolates (good ones) flowers. They think a little shuffle is all they need.
