Hi there first post, I have 4 silkie bantam hens and a cock. I successfully had one hen go broody and hatch 5 eggs, but now they all went broody and mixed there eggs. 2 of the hens then gave up so I was left with 8 eggs and I placed them in a borrowed incubator 2 hours ago. I don't have a brooder set up or anything and I don't have a heat lamp but the eggs I placed in are chirping. I have one hen in lockdown with one chirping egg under her so I went out and placed these other eggs under her as I thought it was there best chance. She is separate from the flock anyway as the eggs were getting mixed. Anyway have I done the right thing I've just checked on her and she hasn't budged at all so must be ok with this yeh?
