My new birds

3 new additions to our flock this week! Integration went really smoothly. Blue Australorp and 2 lovely Polish hens. One question though: will the Polish be able to drink from the nipple waterer with those big crests?

Wow didn't know Polish could roost so high, know their crests can cause havoc with their vision, like silkies.

I, too, am amazed of how high they’re roosted. I was lucky for mine to clear the 1 foot roost pole.

I cannot speak on behalf of all Polish chickens, but mine never did use the nipple waterer. They tried, but they just couldn’t find the right coordination. Mine were buff laced Polish.
