I recently posted pictures of the hens that I adopted from Nevins Farm, so I thought I'd post some pics of my original flock.

Chickaling, a black sex-link.


The Silkball, a silkie.


Nessa, a white leghorn.


The Giant Thing, a white leghorn.


Elwing, a silver seabright.


Finrod (pronounced feenrod ), a white leghorn roo.


And this is Cana, who recently died from a crop infection.

They're all pretty old, Chickaling and The Silkball are probably ten or eleven (Cana was the same age), and I think the rest are about five.

PurpleChicken: Yeah, real creative isn't it? And yes, they are spoiled.

Omeletta: Sorry to hear that. Nessa got the same thing shortly after Cana died, but I caught it much earlier and she's better now.

okiechick57 and Omeletta: Finrod is good looking, but I feel bad for him because his comb makes it hard for him to eat stuff. And before his spurs broke in half, he used to have to lift his feet really high in order to walk, it looked like he was prancing. Unfortunately they're growing right back!
