My Turken (NN) is a year old and laying small eggs.

How much longer until I will see the famously large eggs that the Transylvanian Naked Necks are noted for? She's a great layer--of smaller eggs than my Leghorns, Barred Rock and Buff Orpingtons. Maybe this summmer?

How long has she been laying? Some hens can take months to work out the kinks and get on track with their egg laying. Or, she may just not have the genetics to produce those big eggs and this is what you can expect from her.

Most don't start laying larger eggs until the second or third season. And the biggest are laid later in the season.

She's been laying about 6 months now. Nice natured chicken and the best forager.
