MYSTERY DEATH IN THE COOP

One of my 8 week RIR was killed last night im not sure how or what got to it my coop is 12x6 with tin 4' high tin around the whole thing.There was no sign of entry and the chick had no blood or scratch marks.This is my first loss and its a bit disturbing because I have no clue what got it.Do you guys have any idea what it might be.

Oh the whole coop is enclosed there is 1" wire completely enclosing the top to the roof from the tin bottom.

I am sorry for your loss.

Was she killed or did she just die? You say there was no sign of a predator?
Sometimes they just fall over for no apparent reason.

Im not sure but possibly do you think a snake would be able to catch a chicken that age??

Yeah, if it just fell dead... well that does happen. Sorry for your loss.
