Hatch date 8/20 (almost 9 weeks), all the same turken. The frizzles are one of each so I've been using those for comparison but I'm stumped. Cheeks turn red when excited and are pale otherwise.

It is wing feathers, he has no saddle feathers yet. But I totally forgot about barring being different for the sexesThe turken is male
The feather coloration plus you can just see little saddle like feathers on him
Did you buy the chick, or hatch it yourself? If you hatched it, do you know the colors of the parents? (I'm just wondering if the parents happen to be a pair that produces color-sexable chicks.)Hatch date 8/20 (almost 9 weeks), all the same turken. I see a pattern of black and silver, but I am not seeing actual barring. (Which may say more about what I see than it does about the chicken )I totally forgot about barring being different for the sexes
What about the feather coloration is saying male to you?The turken is male
The feather coloration
I see a few feathers with narrow pointy black markings inside feathers that have white around the edges, but I can't make out the actual feather shape involved. I know that females can have pointy markings inside their rounded feathers, so I've learned that pointy markings are more confusing than useful.plus you can just see little saddle like feathers on him
I'm thinking probably female at this point, but laying an egg would be a very helpful confirmation.Still no change other than thinking my phone is now food. Will be 16 weeks in 2 days, guessing this is a crow or lay situation.
He sure was a late developer.Look whose finally looking pretty at 5 months old
