We had three chicks from my daughter's grade school class hatching. Two have already been confirmed roos. But "Baldy", our Naked Neck, well ... I don't know. I'd appreciate any thoughts! Baldy is right at 5 months old. Thanks in advance.

YAY!! Thanks, everyone!! I've only ever had straight comb chickens, so her pea comb was throwing me off. Plus maybe I just can't get past that naked neck! LOL.

Side note: Out of all the chicks hatched in my daughter's class, this was the only Naked Neck. All the kids thought it was weird looking (thinking it had some weird defect or mange or something) but my sweet daughter took a liking to it, so we took it. At that time, I'd never even heard of Naked Necks. Only after we brought it home did we realize it was a breed ... and that the feathers would never grow in. I'm still not quite used to the way she looks!

I'm with you, the naked necks kind of skeeve me out! But, they sure have an ardent following and some folks just love them.
