(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We got 4 in January then added 3 in March -1 was meant to be a spare in case of a rooster-which we have just started hearing crowing 3 days ago
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

(3) What breeds do you have?
Wyandotte, Easter Egger, Mystic Maran, Isa Brown, Buff Orpington, and White Silkies
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Fresh eggs, no ticks, and great experience for my homeschoolers!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Swimming, reading, Zumba, baking sourdough bread, traveling, gardening, home improvements, art, and crafts.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Photographer homeschooling three in south Nashville. We have a senior Siberian husky who has not yet acclimated to not licking his chops at every whiff of the chickens. In our third year of gardening, we have finally grown two full-sized cucumbers with more to come on the vine!
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
A friend mentioned they use the FB BYC group several months ago. What finally got me searching and joining was the crowing we started hearing theee days ago! Unfortunately, we aren’t permitted to keep roosters so I wanted to see what others have done.
