Yes. When theybget really cold they tuck their heads under a wing, when they breathe, they give off moisture, which is warm and wet and freezes quickly when it is crazy cold out.

Pure Bred Icelandic Cockerels. Eastern Nebraska

I have to pure Icelandic Cockerels. Finally ready to go to a new home. 16 weeks old on Feb 28th.
Both are black and white speckled, both have gold saddle feathers and single combs.

One has a back head and tail and a straight silver comb.
One has a white head and tail and a single flipped/tipped comb.

Both are crowing like champs and stomping and dancing like mad. Masters at foraging. Love being outside (chose to sleep out in the run, even when we were down to -20'F real temp (not windchill))

Can meet somewhere or can deliver or meet within an hour of Lincoln.
