NEED a Buttermilk Biscuit Recipe

Quote:
I loved White Lillies brownie mix, it was my absolute favorite of all times. I even called them when I couldn't find it anymore and wanted to cry when they said it was discontinued.

Will I use the exact same amount of buttermilk instead of regular milk? Not sure what you mean by adjust. I know buttermilk is a bit thicker.

Thank you!

I've spent over 40 years trying to perfect the perfect biscuit recipe and found this one is just the best of the best.
2 C. flour
1 Tbl. sugar (optional and I leave this out)
4 Teasp. baking powder
3/4 Teasp. salt
1.2 Teasp. baking soda
1/2 C. veg. shortening
1 whole egg, beaten
1/2 C. buttermilk

Mix dry ingredients and cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Beat together eggs and buttermilk. Slowly add to dry ingredients (you may not need all the liquid) to form a dough. Press onto board and cut out rounds. Bake on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake at 400 degrees for 12 to 14 minutes or until golden. YUM!
