Hello

Hopefully im posting in the correct area as ive just joined

Im doing my first duck egg hatching / incubating and have a question

So first candelled at 5 days which is today , i bought 6 duck eggs , shipped .

1 duck egg has signs of life as i can see a little heartbeat šŸ˜
1 egg has what i think is a blood ring
And the others look infertile ( hope thats spelt correctly lol )

I will be candelling again at day 10 just to make sure or will i wait longer than 10 days ?

Can someone please confirm for me :)

Thank you !

yes, wait some more time, but your interpretation of the 3 is correct, even though day 5 is kind of early. But since most duck eggs are very white you can see through easy. Anything that has been shipped by mail, tends to have lower hatch rates than the ones picked at home. When I incubate eggs I use 5% more humidity than chicken.

Thank you , ive just checked egg with suspected blood ring and the ring is larger but more broken up so ive took than one out ans cracked it and was correct , im hoping my little one that i have thats alive will make it to hatching.

I see mixed comments about humidity so i stuck with between 30% / 45% ?
My temp is 37.5

what the hell 30% to 45%? where did you see that? what incubator do you have?
On a few websites online , im guessing with that reply thats wrong šŸ¤¦šŸ¾ā€ā™€ļø i have an Okkobi OBI-12

Should the humidity be higher ?
I also noticed that the living egg has a sadle shaped air sac ?
