I need some help identifying the breeds of these 8wk old chicks. I am 100% certain that 3 of them are Olive Eggers b/c I hatched them in the house. The others were hatched by a broody and all were raised by the broody. The other possible breeds are Cream Legbar, Bielfelder, and Swedish Flower. #2, #6 and #7 all have feathered legs. I am guessing these 3 must be my Olive Eggers? Any guesses on the other 4? It has been suggested to me that #1 and #3 are Cream Legbars. I'd like to keep 1 or 2 of the Roos but not sure which ones and want to be sure of the breed before I give the others away. Keeping both pullets:). Thank you!!

Any guesses? I'm guessing #1 is Cream Legbar, #2 is OE, #3 Swedish Flower Hen, #4 Swedish Flower or Bielefelder, #5 Bielefelder, #6 OE, #7 OE. These are my guesses, I really need folks who know what they are looking at to chime in.

Sorry about the photos, they are in order in my computer and I checked them in order but that's not how they posted. #1 is the only one I felt sure of the breed, I agree he's a CL. From the shells I found in with the Broody there should be a Bielefelder and a Swedish Flower in there. These are from hatching eggs that I purchased. The sellers had excellent reviews so with the exception of the 3 OE they should not be crossbreed birds. The broody did have 3 OE eggs but 2 exploded and I "think" she crushed the other but I can't be certain so it is possible that there is a 4th OE.

All mixed breeds, and I'll list the reasons why.
1-If he was pure Legbar, he'd have two copies of the barring gene. His tail feathers clearly show a single copy at work. He's also silver-base color with red leakage, Legbars and Bielefelders are red/gold base color.
2- Right base color, but only one copy of the barring gene and feathered legs.
3- Cream dilute gene and two copies of the barring gene, but wrong skin color.
4- Might be your only 'pure' bird. She looks about right for a Bielefelder pullet.
5- Single copy of the barring gene.
6- Cream dilute gene, but single copy of the barring gene.
7- Cream dilute, but no barring gene or mottling of a Swedish Flower.
