Hey all of byc land! I'm also new to raising chickens. I've always had a desire to raise but am just now beginning. My 14 yr old son actually had the opportunity to raise some laying hens as a project grade for his FFA Class. So....here we are...I have a couple acres of land in corn country but however the chicks can't be free range due to coyotes. We started small. We have a golden comet & an Americana? Both appx 4.5 nmmonths old....any tips concerns or questions welcome

Welcome to BYC and the wide world of chicken-owning! There is a lot of information right here that can guide you very well, and better than can be done in a single post.
