In the Brooder
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I'm a brand new chicken momma but I've been researching and learning about raising chickens for about the last year.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? I have eight chicks and they are so cute!!
(3) What breeds do you have? Black Australorp, Golden Comet, Rhode Island Red and California White 2 of each
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Not sure but I'm sure I find out soon
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? I love to bake, sew, cook and spend time with my grand-kids.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I live in Chapin, SC. Married to my wonderful husband for 29 years. He thought I was kidding when I told him I wanted chickens. His current project (nearly finished) is converting an old shed into a beautiful new home for the girls. I love having such a handy man around the house but I'm not sure he loves all the projects I have lined up.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? I found out about BYC from a friend that raises chickens. It's been a great source of information. So happy to be part of this community. Looking forward to this new journey with all of you.
