Hello there, I am a new chicken raiser from PA. We’ve been wanting chickens for a long time, but have been focused on raising humans instead. We currently have 13 6-week-old egg layers: 5 Barred rocks, 3 “Americanas,” 1 Calico Princess, and 4 Production Reds (we just picked out a variety at our local feed store). My mother in law is raising 1 buff Orpington and 1 sapphire gem for us as well, which we’ll add to our flock when they’re more similar in size to our current girls.
I’m mostly curious right now about what sex my Barred Rocks are. I’ll be posting pictures soon in that part of the forum!
