We've had our five chicks for a week now; a BO, LORP, SLW, RIR and BR. We think they are beautiful and since the brooder is in the living room, we are watching a lot of chick TV these days.
Here's a pic of the five:
and of my daughter and Olive, the LORP. She will sit contentedly on her shoulder and was the first to approach our hands and hop on board when we put them in the brooder:
and Ruby, the RIR. A couple of the chicks will fall asleep like this in our daughter's hands. She cups them in her hands and gently turns them over and they are asleep when she opens her hand. I've taken to calling her the Chick Whisperer.
