Our new chicks are in with our other chickens, how do we get them to go into the chicken coop with the other ones.we have a small coop for them ,do we just take it out of the area where they are all at or what

:welcome

How old are they? You need to keep a heat lamp on them for several weeks, and you can turn it off during the day if the temperature is 80°+. Or were they hatched by a broody hen?

The chicks are about 2 1/2-3 months, they have been in with the other chickens for about 2wks. Now

Generally you keep newly cooped birds locked in for a few days with food & water, so they imprint on the coop as their home. But, your other birds already know where they belong& might resent being locked up. Maybe you could just leave them together and see if they follow the older birds in at dusk.

Hi and welcome to BYC - you have some great advice already so I'll just say hello!

All the best
