New coop (extension to come!)

Phew! I am quite proud of myself. It’s not finished, but it’s at least reasonably secure for overnights, which was where I needed to be, because I’m away tomorrow and the next day. I won’t include any instructions, because I have no building skills and you don’t want to replicate my "process" anyway. The coop is about 6’x4’. Each of the side windows is 3’x1’ for permanent ventilation, and I will cover the smaller one on the end for winter (our winters are pretty cold). The temporary run area under the coop is only 6’x4’ as well, which is obviously not enough for 4 chickens long term. The run will be extended out the side another 4.5’, to make a total run size of 51 sq. ft.

Getting there! Still not painted, but got some deer fencing up around the other part of the run. It’s not predator proof, but they’re locked inside the coop at night and we don’t really have daytime predators around here to worry about.
