New coop

I think you're overthinking the brooder. I'd start with a wire frame that's fenced off from the other chickens so they can't poop or roost on top of them, then gradually allow them more access to the rest of the birds as they grow, then pick the brooder up and put it in the shed/garage til next time.

This plan is a 14x12

This is a sanitary runway design for chicks, I think it cut it in half and roof half of it for your brooder.

Your probably right, I over think to much, but I only want to do it once

It's a good start.

20 nests, 12" x 12"....under poop boards?
Or are those short cross pieces more roosts?

Might want to do a couple quick elevations.

The upper right pop door area, is narrow(12") and cut off to your access by central poop board/roost?

10 nest's under poop boards, your right I shouldn't cover up the pop door,
Like I said, I'm open to hear all comments. Nothing is built in stone yet,

Might put main poop boards/roosts on south wall and west walls.
Chick board/roost on north wall.
Move doors accordingly.
Make chick section 8-9' long.
Permanent chick wall at west end, temporary wall going down center, maybe with a couple posts along that line for attachment.

Just some thoughts.

@junkman56 I believe you said you're planning on 30 birds? When we started off with 24 in 2017 my husband built 10 nesting boxes and we worried that wouldn't be enough. We soon found out they only used about 3, every single dang day. Didn't matter how much I cleaned them or whatever, they used no more than 3 boxes. Often two of them would pile into one box while having their eggs. Last month I pulled out the entire wall of boxes, tore out 5 of them and left the other 5. So FIVE nesting boxes. Guess how many they use? Three.:he What can I say? They want what they want and that's all there is to it. Just thought I'd pass that along.
