We recently purchased a frizzle hen for our project flock. In pictures she looked normal and healthy, and when we picked her up the seller said the hen was just finishing her 18 month molt. We brought her home and cleaned her up (we've had lots of rain here lately)and did a thorough second checkup. Her skin is clean and healthy. Feet look good, crop is fine, eating, drinking, no unusual respiratory sounds or strange behaviors. Although she's small, she has meat and her keel bone isn't prominent. No active lice (or eggs) no active mites. However, I haven't seen a molt do this...
