Hey everyone! I am a year two chicken keeper. I currently have 5 layers & 8 babies that are almost coop ready. My laying girls are a saphire gem, barred rock, California white, silver laced wyandotte, & a white crested polish. My babies are 4 green starlight eggers, 2 cream legbars, & 2 welsummers. (Fingers crossed all hens, have one starlight looking like it might be a roo) I got into chicken keeping because I've got three kids & we eat A LOT of eggs. I'm striving to slow down & be more intentional with my life; gardening so we have our own veggies & herbs, baking things from scratch, making dye free snacks, & of course chickens for our own eggs. I'd love to eventually dive into raising our own meat birds. I like gardening, baking, puzzles, knitting, & running.

Hoping to learn a lot from this community & maybe even give advice too.
